Hi!
I'm Jade, a certified nutrition consultant specialising in postpartum and infant nutrition.
I help new mums and growing families eat well without the extra effort — simple, supportive and satisfying for everyone.
Who I Help
There's a tiny human taking up all your time now. No time for leisurely grazing, no time for a three-page recipe you saw on Pinterest at 11pm. Solo parenting some days, cluster feeding some nights, running on whatever's fastest to get on a plate. Sound familiar? Whether you're in the thick of the fourth trimester or navigating those first wobbly spoonfuls of solids, you're at capacity — and food needs to work harder than it ever has before.
My Why
I taught nutrition for 10 years and didn't always follow my own advice. I could eat whatever I fancied and deal with the consequences later — a well-balanced meal doesn't matter so much when you can snack all day or make up for it with a big cook-up later. Then I had kids. Suddenly there was no time for grazing, no time for consequences later. And it turns out I get hangry as hell — not ideal at the best of times, let alone stacked on top of sleep deprivation and a newborn attached to me most hours of the day.
Food had to start earning its keep. Not just filling me up, but actually nourishing me — for recovery, for energy, for milk supply. That shift is what got me paying proper attention to my own meals again, using the knowledge I'd been teaching for a decade but never quite living.
After my second baby, I decided to start working toward becoming an IBCLC — a lactation consultant. Along the way I found a nutrition course specialising in postpartum and infant health, and it clicked: I could combine the two. Nutrition support alongside breastfeeding support, for mums going through exactly what I was going through. I'm still working toward the IBCLC qualification, but I'm very much ready to go on the nutrition side.
Life now looks like full days doing all the things — food shopping, lunchboxes, exercise, squeezing in some evening crochet and reading, weekends spent outside with the kids — beach, bush, mountain bikes, the works — and me probably thinking about what's going to be for dinner next week.
My Approach
It started with two changes: more fibre, more protein. Small tweaks, but genuinely a game changer — the difference between being hungry again an hour later and actually staying satisfied until the next meal.
When we started solids, a child health nurse said something that should have been obvious but genuinely wasn't: you can't expect a baby to stay full all night on a bowl of veg. Babies need fats and protein too, same as the rest of us. That was pretty much the lightbulb moment — the same method that was working for me was exactly what my kids needed too.
So that's the whole approach, really: meals that are simple, supportive, suitable for everyone at the table, and — because when has that ever not been an option — delicious. No separate baby meals, no different rules, no drama.
Wherever you're at — deep in the fourth trimester or just starting to navigate solids — you don't need to overhaul anything. Just a few small shifts to the meals you already love. I'm here whenever you're ready to figure out what that looks like for you.
